Announcing Email Migration Support for Lotus Notes

If you haven’t already seen or heard, we now support Lotus Notes. Like other migrations using MigrationWiz, you can use the same web interface to configure, monitor, and perform your migration in minutes. Simply select Lotus Notes as your source type and fill in the appropriate information.

Using MigrationWiz, you can easily migrate emails, calendars, contacts, and tasks from Lotus Notes. Remember, our migrations are high fidelity. Contact pictures, email flags, and properties in calendar appointments are just some of the small, yet important, things we migrate if the destination system supports it. Whether you are migrating to Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, or any IMAP system, our support team is standing by to help if needed. This announcement adds Lotus Notes to our expanding list of supported systems.

…BRILLIANT. BUT … you’re tools run on the internet. All of the migrations I have done from Notes – and I have about a million objects migrated – have been from in-house Notes to in-house Exchange, OR “the cloud”. I can’t use your tools – and they are fab – until I can point them at an inhouse platform and hit the “migrate” button.

Oh, let’s is getting interesting. I have never been successful is convincing a company to move EXISTING servers to the likes of a DMZ so they can be connected to. So this connector can sit inside the firewall, right? I would need to know how it’s secured, VPN, SSL?
