Following a successful merger with Dish Network, Blockbuster wanted to consolidate its hosted BPOS-D (dedicated) Exchange environment with Dish Network’s on-premise Exchange platform. One driving motivation for the project was to eliminate duplicate messaging infrastructures. Other goals were to facilitate integration with existing applications, ensure a consistent SLA, and provide unified support to all users. As a result, Blockbuster required a migration solution that was compatible with the BPOS-D hosted platform and able to meet stringent security requirements.
